Week four of ”Manhattan Central”, we’re mixing the Bourbon Sour, featuring Charred Oak Bourbon. American made in small batches, bottled at 100 proof, and made with all natural ingredients, this bourbon took a Gold Medal from the 2012 Spirits International Prestige Awards in the small batch division.
The Bourbon Sour
1 1/2 oz. Charred Oak Bourbon
3/4 oz. Stirrings Simple Syrup
1 1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
Maraschino Cherry for garnish
Pour the bourbon, simple syrup and lemon juice into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake well and pour into a rocks glass and garnish with a cherry.

A common variation to the Bourbon Sour includes adding a dash of egg whites which makes a Boston Sour.
