Below is a list of some of our favorite wines that will pair well with the foods of the holiday
Conundrum White – California 2008 – $18.98
On the palate, lush tropical flavors of melon, pineapple and pear are matched
with crisp lemon zest and hints of grapefruit. The complexity of this wine is
brought into balance by a rich, round mouthfeel supported by fresh acidity,
creating a stunning, satisfying finish.
Bogle Phantom Red – California Blend – $16.99
Notes of juicy boysenberry and black fruit are deepened with aromas of pipe
tobacco and black pepper, while subtle hints of clove and vanilla softly envelop
the palate. Intense and luscious, the rich character opens to reveal red fruit
of spirited cranberries and raspberries.
J. Sanders Pinot Noir – France, AOC – $14.99
A temptingly smooth and fruity red wine from Burgundy, France. This gem has a lively aroma, fresh flavours of strawberries, raspberries and plums, and a soft,
mellow finish. Think cranberries. Think stuffing. Think absolute perfection in the glass.
Hogue Late Harvest Riesling – Columbia Valley, Washington – $7.99
The wine was produced from select Riesling vineyards where the fruit can ripen
to the required 24°+ Brix. At that level of ripeness, the wine develops its
trademark tangerine and apricot flavor. Zesty aromas of orange, lemon-lime and peach are followed by flavors of tangerine, apricot and a trace of
mineral. Perfect for after the Turkey!
